Hands-on with the V4-7

From Jan 11 to Jan 12, Yanmar Asia (YASC) hosted a service training on the new Yanmar wheel loaders V4-7 for service engineers from Sia & Yeo Heavy Equipment. The product was launched by Yanmar Japan in 2015 to meet the new Tier 4 emission regulations in North America, as well as meeting customers’ requests for improved maintainability and reduction in noise levels. This is the first product in Asia to meet the new Tier 4 emission regulations, and YASC’s first ever Tier 4 engine training.

The new V4-7 boosts a 70 percent increase in the access floor area to allow operators easy access into the cabs, as well as a 45mm increase in the door width. Visibility of the product is also improved in the V4-7 by replacing old swinging glass doors with new sliding glass doors, and adding glass panels at the bottom. The heater unit has been further shifted to the front of the steering unit to enhance defrost performance.

Another significant improvement includes the reduction of noise levels. By making several changes in the V4-7, the noise level has been reduced from 85 decibels to 77 decibels when compared to the existing V4-6 model.

The successful two-day training was conducted by trainers from Yanmar Construction Equipment: Mr. Hori, Mr. Murayama, and Mr. Kawasaki.

As part of YASC’s new directive to further improve customer service and satisfaction, YASC aims to provide similar training sessions for industrial products directly to customers in future.
