YANMAR is proud to sponsor the Association for the Promotion of Electric Vehicles’ (APEV) electric vehicle racing team, “Team APEV with Monster Sport,” in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb being held June 23 through 29 in Colorado. YANMAR will support the team by supplying generators to help power the cars as they race through the harsh environment located 12,000 feet above sea level.

Japan-based APEV is dedicated to creating and maintaining a self-sustainable community through the promotion of electric vehicles. As a company that has long been committed to the environment and energy efficiency, YANMAR's product line includes highly efficient, clean cogeneration systems and generators for populations across the world. The company also works to further environmentally responsible technology and the greening of diesel engines.

In addition to sponsoring Team APEV with Monster Sport, YANMAR also actively sponsors the Cerezo Osaka and Manchester United soccer teams, as well as the Oracle Team USA sailing team.
