Yanmar Ambassador Takashi Inui
Takashi Inui is originally from Shiga Prefecture in Japan, which is also the birthplace of YANMAR and the location of the “Yanmar Museum”. With Inui’s help, we are working to add football -related content at the museum.
The Yanmar Museum is based on the concept of creating an exciting future, and offers an interactive learning environment in which children can get hands-on experience with some of our products.
Inui is helping us to incorporate content at the museum in a way which is fun for children and facilitates their learning.
Inui signed for Cerezo Osaka in June 2008, and after several successful seasons, he secured a transfer to VfL Bochum in the German second division, where he scored 7 goals in 30 appearances.
After his eye-catching performances for Bochum, Inui was picked up by Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt. In his first year at the club he soon became a pivotal attacking player, and even managed to find the back of the net in three consecutive games.
In 2015, Inui signed for Spanish La Liga side SD Eibar. He was a key player for three seasons, and in 2017 scored twice against the mighty FC Barcelona.
Thereafter he had stints at Real Betis and Deportivo Alavés, before returning to SD Eibar in 2019.
Inui has been part of the Japan national team since 2009. At the 2018 FIFA World Cup he scored two goals, and was one of the key players which propelled Japan into the last 16 of the tournament.
