How Bilal Buzdag swapped the classroom for the construction site and exchanged the teacher’s desk for the cab of YANMAR machinery.

Until 2022, Bilal Buzdag, now a 37-year-old father of a family, worked as a mathematics teacher at a special educational needs school. At the same time, he devoted his spare time to his passion for landscaping and grounds maintenance. What started out as a hobby gradually developed into a genuine business opportunity. Demand increased, projects became larger, and eventually Bilal made a bold decision: he left behind the security of his teaching career and turned his passion into a profession.

It all began in 2023 with a YANMAR wheeled excavator rented from TNA Baumaschinentechnik. This marked his first connection with the official YANMAR dealer based in Fritzlar. “I was so satisfied with the excavator that I immediately knew one thing: from then on, only YANMAR machines would enter my yard,” Bilal recalls with a laugh.

Successful Growth with YANMAR

Just one year later, Bilal purchased his first machine of his own. Today, his fleet consists of a YANMAR SV26 mini excavator, a V80 wheel loader and two YANMAR C08 dumpers. “With this machine configuration, we can carry out typical earthmoving and civil engineering work very efficiently. While the mini excavator handles excavation work and utility trenches, the dumpers transport materials and the wheel loader ensures the quick loading and distribution of gravel, soil and construction materials around the site,” explains Bilal Buzdag when describing his choice of equipment.

Bilal’s company now employs seven people. Around 90 per cent of its business focuses on landscaping projects, including patios, driveways, paving works, turf installation and complete garden transformations.
“YANMAR excavators are particularly well suited to working in confined spaces,” says Bilal.
Alongside private customers, he now also works for commercial clients and supports projects as a subcontractor for leading construction companies.

“I want to continue growing,” Bilal says when describing his ambitions. In the future, he plans to operate three independent teams, each consisting of three employees working simultaneously on different sites, equipped with their own excavators, wheel loaders and dumpers – all from YANMAR.
“For the development of my business, TNA Baumaschinentechnik and YANMAR equipment are exactly the right partners,” Bilal continues.
When asked why, his answer is short and simple: “Because both are extremely reliable.”

TNA – A YANMAR Dealer Since 2010

Family-owned TNA Baumaschinentechnik, based in Fritzlar, was founded in 2010 and serves its customers from a modern, purpose-built facility. Covering approximately 2,500 square metres, the site includes a state-of-the-art workshop, service and storage facilities, as well as office space.

TNA’s rental fleet comprises more than 50 machines, over 90 per cent of which are supplied by YANMAR.
In addition to machine sales and rental services, the company places particular emphasis on after-sales support, spare parts availability and personal customer service. It is precisely this close working relationship that Bilal values so highly. For growing businesses in particular, short response times, rapid support and dependable contacts are critical factors in day-to-day operations.

One of those trusted contacts is Leon Nagel. At just 20 years old, Leon is currently being prepared to take over the family business and, despite his young age, already demonstrates remarkable experience and a strong sense of responsibility.

During a conversation with Bilal and Leon, it quickly becomes clear what the two have in common: a genuine passion for what they do. Both speak enthusiastically about their work, their businesses and their future plans. Their entrepreneurial spirit and determination to achieve their goals are unmistakable.

Bilal Buzdag’s story is a powerful example of what can be achieved when people have the courage to pursue a new path. At the same time, it highlights the importance of having reliable partners along the way. Sustainable growth is built not only on good ideas and hard work, but also on collaboration, trust and shared passion.
We are proud that YANMAR is part of this success story.
