Emission Test Engineer

• Define test plans and schedules in collaboration with Yanmar Japan HQ;

• Design and arrange parts to connect the PEMS unit to the machine;

• Test preparation including test cycle definition and shipment of equipment to the test site;

• Conduct emission testing with PEMS unit according to the In-Service testing program;

rn t

• Perform data analysis and provide test results to Yanmar Japan HQ;

rn t

• Provide technical advices about identified issues during the test and evaluates root causes;

rn t

• Solve any technical problems before, during and after engine emission tests on the machine;

rn t

• Control test equipment storage, functionality and maintenance schedule;

rn t

• Support engineering colleagues with engine installation tests at the customer;

rn t

• Follow Engineering/Compliance policies and procedures.

• Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering and/or automotive;

rn t

• Knowledge of vehicle powertrains, engine, exhaust after-treatment systems and emissions;

rn t

• Relevant work experience of engine emissions testing and data acquisition emission systems;

rn t

• Good understanding of emission regulation test cycles;

rn t

• Ability to analyse and to report technical data;

rn t

• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills;

rn t

• Ability to work both independently and in a team;

rn t

• Languages: written and spoken Dutch and English;

rn t

• Flexibility to travel within Europe;

rn t

• Experience within a Japanese work environment is a plus
