Yanmar sets new standard with complimentary 5-Year Tractor Warranty
September 2022 – Yanmar Europe introduces a New 5-Year Warranty on Yanmar SA, YT2 and YT3 Utility Tractor Series from 22 to 60 hp at GaLaBau in Nuremberg and Salonvert near Paris this year. The new extended warranty policy highly improves the lifecycle value of compact tractors by optimising utilisation and performance and minimizing costs and downtime. It also accounts for higher resale value. Yanmar’s 5-Year Warranty is available at no additional cost and sets a unique benchmark for ground care tractors in Europe.
Yanmar 5-Year Warranty benchmark for compact tractors
The launch of the new 5-Year Warranty further enhances sustainability and extended ownership of Yanmar’s current line-up of high-quality compact tractors. This is an important asset for owners and operators during the lifetime of their tractors.
Peter van der Vorst, Manager Agriculture Department at Yanmar Europe, says: “Yanmar sets a new benchmark by offering 5-Year Warranty for compact tractors without any charges. It emphasizes the strong quality and reliability of our products and is another important step to offer problem-free, sustainable ownership and higher resale value.”
Five key benefits for owners
Quality and reliability, the hallmarks of Yanmar tractors, are the solid basis for this unique free extended warranty. It gives owners a decisive argument in their purchase with at least five business-critical advantages:
• optimised utilization
• enhanced performance
• use of genuine high-quality parts
• reduced downtime
• increased resale value
All repairs included for five years
5-Year Warranty is valid without any costs for a period of 60 months or 5,000 operating hours upon purchase for SA, YT2 and YT3 tractor series sold in Europe and operating on European territory where Yanmar has an official partner. The warranty will cover all repairs necessary for these tractors arising from defects in material and/or workmanship through normal use without any costs for parts or labour for the owner. True peace of mind.
A valuable benefit is that the warranty also applies to subsequent owners for the remainder of the warranty period if the tractor is sold. Warranty coverage comes with the usual exceptions such as ordinary wear and tear, misuse, improper maintenance, or force majeure and does not apply to external implements or attachments. Some exceptions are made to electrical parts.
Five simple rules to apply for 5-Year Warranty
For reasons of transparency and ease of use, the 5-Year Warranty policy has been drawn up as simply as possible. Only five main rules apply for owners to claim a 5-Year Warranty:
• Buy from an authorised partner (distributor/dealer)
• Dealer registers the tractor in Yanmar’s 5-Year Warranty portal within one month after purchase
• Fulfil all scheduled maintenance and checks in time
• Register all maintenance and repairs
• Only use Yanmar Genuine Parts and Fluids
