What are you going to do?
As a Customs and Finance Specialist within the Finance Department at YANMAR Europe, you will join a dedicated and diverse team committed to excellence in financial and customs-related operations.
Your crucial role provides comprehensive support to the Finance Manager and involves direct collaboration with multiple departments. You will contribute significantly to achievingthe department’s targets, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting, and managing customs processes with precision. Your expertise will not only ensure the smooth execution of day-to-day financial transactions but also uphold the integrity of customs-related activities within the company.
With a focus on detail and a proactive approach, you will be a key player in long-term financial planning and fostering the continuous enhancement of financial and customs practices.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Analyze, verify, and process financial data across multiple ERP systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with financial policies;
- Execute financial transactions, including general ledger entries, banking, payroll, and tax filings, and manage accounts payable and receivable;
- Prepare accurate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including period-end reports, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements;
- Provide guidance on reporting practices and timelines, consolidating financial information for strategic analysis and decision support;
- Handle daily customs activities, including product classification, monthly customs declarations, and maintenance of the Export Controls Framework;
- Proactively identify customs-related financial risks, advise on improvements, and ensure adherence to the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) standards.

The ideal candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting;
- Minimum 3-7 years’ related working experience (Accounting and/or Auditing);
- You have knowledge of Customs / VAT / CIT / IFRS / Impairments; nextto that,you have the willingness to obtain business-specific knowledge quickly;
- The following (mindset) qualities apply to you: Persistent, Assertive attitude, Analytical, Problem-solving oriented;
- Strong language skills, fluent in both spoken and written English. Preferably also Dutch.
Work location:
Your regular workplace is Almere, but hybrid working (40% home/60% office) is possible in this position.
