What are you going to do?
As an Accounting Specialist at YANMAR Europe, you will be part of a collaborative and diverse team (consisting of 9 people), where your expertise and dedication will drive our financial excellence forward. Your primary goal is to provide comprehensive support to the Finance Manager in achieving the targets of the Finance and Accounting department.
Your role encompasses various financial functions, from day-to-day financial operations, to assisting in audits, preparing financial statements, and actively contributing to budgeting, planning, and forecasting processes. Your engagement will extend across all business segments, providing valuable financial analytics, insights, and guidance to facilitate decision-making. As a proactive participant in long-range financial planning, you’ll play a vital role in shaping financial policies, procedures, and strategies.
With your keen attention to detail and continuous improvement mindset, you’ll help maintain efficient financial flows and ensure compliance.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day financial operations and maintain communication with various departments;
- Assist in audit planning, financial statement preparation, and engagement with external auditors;
- Contribute to monthly reporting, annual budgeting, and quarterly forecasting processes;
- Proactively engage with business segments to provide consistent and simplified financial analytics for decision-making;
- Participate in long-range financial planning, initiate policy improvements, and support the Management Team in financial strategy.

The ideal candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting;
- Minimum 3-7 years’ related working experience (Accounting and/or Auditing);
- You have knowledge of VAT / CIT / IFRS / Impairments, and next to that, you have the willingness to quickly obtain business-specific knowledge;
- The following (mindset) qualities apply to you: Persistent, Assertive attitude, Analytical, Problem-solving oriented;
- Strong language skills, fluent in both spoken and written English. Preferably also Dutch.
Your regular workplace is Almere.
