In this position, you are a member of the Global YMI Sales department. As a mid-senior Account Manager, you will work in an enthusiastic international team that does its utmost to ensure that we understand what our customers need and provide them with the best solutions, products, and services.

You will frequently visit prospects or existing international distributors and discuss their revenue, orders, and requirements. The aim is to map the forecast and agree on the delivery conditions.

  • Enhanced customer care through proactive and responsive communication, visiting them regularly;
  • Assess customer’s needs and suggest appropriate products, services, and/or solutions;
  • Develop sales and marketing plans and prepare strategies to protect, grow, and diversify the relationship with targeted customers;
  • Review and report on customer retention, business opportunity and market trends;
  • Provide information by collecting, analysing, and summarising data/trends for accurate sales projections and purchase sales & inventory planning;
  • Retrieve local market and competition information to support product and business development;
  • Investigate complaints and shipments, make follow-up proposals, resolve problems, and ensure customers receive high-quality customer service.

The ideal candidate for the mid-senior Account Manager role is natural at building and maintaining long-term relationships. You thrive in an international, dynamic environment where no two days are alike, relying on your organisational prowess to excel.   • Minimum HBO educational level (or equal by experience);
  • 5 years of experience in B2B Sales, preferably within technical industries;.
  • Technical aptitude or knowledge;
  • Affinity to the Maritime sector is highly preferred;
  • The following mindset qualities apply to you: adaptability, proactive and strong focus on relation management;
  • Strong language skills and fluency in spoken and written English are necessary. French, German, Dutch or any other language is preferred.
  • Applicants must currently reside in the Netherlands and possess eligibility to work in the country, including having a valid work permit or passport.

Your primary office location is in Almere, the Netherlands, but hybrid working is possible for this position. You’ll also frequently visit our valued customers.
