PRODUCT DATA OFFICER

Almere, the Netherlands

Fulltime

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

At YANMAR, we’ve been creating sustainable power and engine solutions for over a century. Innovation is in our DNA, and so is our commitment to delivering products that make a difference. We’re always looking for ways to improve how we work—refining our methods to ensure everything runs smoothly, from planning to delivery.

As our Product Data Officer, you’ll be at the heart of it all. Your role will focus on keeping product configurations precise, working with teams across the business, and driving improvements in our manufacturing processes. You’ll also leverage a structured and collaborative approach to manage cross-departmental projects effectively, ensuring all stakeholders stay aligned.

As our Product Data Officer, your work will be at the core of our manufacturing processes. You’ll ensure everything runs smoothly by managing Bills of Materials (BoM) with precision, coordinating updates across teams, and finding ways to improve how we work. This isn’t a role where you’ll be stuck in the same routine—every day will bring new challenges and opportunities to make an impact. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across YANMAR and our business units, Vetus and YMI, to help us deliver top-notch products more efficiently.

  • Implementing and managing BOM’s: Create and update detailed, multilevel Bills of Materials (BOM’s) for all products of the Yanmar Europe Manufacturing Group, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with demand planning, sales, engineering, operations (assembly, quality, warehouse), and procurement teams to coordinate product changes effectively.
  • Data- and Product lifecycle management: Maintain data within PDM and convert data into the ERP system
  • Quality assurance: Review new BOM’s to ensure completeness and accuracy before release.
  • Managing projects: Overseeing all ongoing projects, keeping all stakeholders informed and push departments to perform outstanding activities.

We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about precision, thrives on solving challenges, and loves working in a collaborative environment. As our Product Data Officer, you’ll need to be detail-oriented, proactive, and ready to take ownership of your work. We value individuals who can speak their mind confidently while working collaboratively to find the best solutions. If you’re the kind of person who sees inefficiencies and immediately thinks, “I can fix that,” we’d love to hear from you.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related fields)
  • 3+ years of experience in related fields; with a solid background in BoM management, including working with multilevel BoM processes.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP is a big plus) and strong analytical abilities.
  • Strong project coordination skills, with the ability to align cross-departmental teams and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • A technical background or affinity is a nice plus.
  • A precise, organized approach to handling data and processes.
  • The following mind-set applies to you: collaborative, self-started & organized.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch is a bonus.
  • Affinity with maritime life or sailing is a plus.

Applicants must currently reside in the Netherlands and be eligible to work there, including a valid work permit and/or passport.

You’ll be based at our Almere office, with the option to work partially from home under a flexible arrangement.

As our Product Data Officer, you’ll be part of a company that values precision, collaboration, and forward-thinking solutions. This role offers a perfect blend of challenges and support, giving you the chance to shape processes, work with talented teams, and contribute to projects that truly matter.

We understand that great work comes from happy and motivated people, so we’ve created an environment where you can thrive both professionally and personally.

  • A competitive salary that reflects your knowledge and experience.
  • Flexible working hours and the option to work from home.
  • A standard working week of 37.5 hours.
  • Opportunities for training and professional development.
  • Gym subscription and bike plan.
  • Employee benefits plan with discounts on various products and services.
  • Participation in company outings, sports activities, and events.
  • Commuting allowance.
  • 27 vacation days (+ the ability to build up time for time).
  • 8% holiday allowance and year-end bonus based on company results.
