Within Yanmar Marine International Operations, the Order Management team plays a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of customer orders across Europe. From order intake to delivery and invoicing, the team coordinates closely with multiple departments to provide an efficient and reliable customer experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Backoffice Sales Specialist supports the end-to-end order process while driving operational excellence, compliance, and customer satisfaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are you going to do?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As our Backoffice Sales Specialist, you are responsible for coordinating and executing the complete order-to-cash process. You work closely with customers, Production, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, and Sales to ensure orders are processed accurately, delivered on time, and invoiced correctly. In this role, you serve as the operational link among multiple stakeholders and help maintain efficient, scalable operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your main tasks and responsibilities<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Order Management & Customer Support
<\/strong>\u2022 Validate incoming customer orders for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with commercial agreements
\u2022 Process and maintain order transactions within SAP S\/4HANA
\u2022 Manage order changes and coordinate solutions for non-standard customer requests
\u2022 Act as the primary operational contact for order, delivery, and invoice-related inquiries
\u2022 Proactively communicate order status and coordinate issue resolution with internal and external stakeholder<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Production, Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination
<\/strong>\u2022 Coordinate order execution with Production, Workshop, Supply Chain, and Logistics teams
\u2022 Monitor order progress and proactively address delivery risks or bottlenecks
\u2022 Coordinate the availability of parts and materials with internal teams and suppliers
\u2022 Manage shipment schedules and transportation arrangements
\u2022 Prepare and maintain export, shipping, and customs documentation for international deliveries
\u2022 Coordinate reverse logistics activities when required<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Financial Administration & Compliance
<\/strong>\u2022 Generate and validate invoices, ensuring accurate pricing, quantities, and delivery terms
\u2022 Maintain accurate order and transaction records within relevant systems
\u2022 Support dispute resolution, credit notes, debit requests, and related investigations
\u2022 Assist with internal audits and ensure compliance with operational and financial procedures<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Continuous Improvement
<\/strong>\u2022 Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and service levels
\u2022 Support operational projects, system enhancements, and process optimisation initiatives
\u2022 Contribute to the continuous improvement of the end-to-end order management process

The ideal candidate<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in operations, order management, customer service, or order-to-cash processes;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S\/4HANA is required;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Professional proficiency in French is a strong advantage;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Fluent in English;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to work effectively with operational data and systems;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Experience working with ERP systems and international order management processes;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic international environment;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Additional European languages are considered an advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n

    Work location<\/h4>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n

    This position is based in Almere, the Netherlands, with a hybrid working model of three days in the office and two days working from home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
