Features

COMPACTNESS

The SV100-2 is an unmatched combination of compactness and performance, a 9,625 kg midi excavator that effectively closes the gap between mini and large excavators. The minimum turning radius is 3,440 mm, with a rear turning radius of 1,330 mm.  The width of the machine is 2,320 mm, while a short tail swing measures just 170 mm. With figures like these, it’s not surprising that this machine has consistently proved its worth in urban areas, with no need for blocking more than one line of traffic.

LARGE EXCAVATOR FEATURES IN COMPACT FORMAT

The breakout forces of 68.5 kN at the bucket and 45.8 kN at the boom are exceptional for a 10-ton class excavator with a very short tail swing. With a digging depth of 4,570 mm (3,870 mm for vertical walls) and excellent traction force, they allow the SV100-2 to deliver high productivity day after day. That’s even on major projects such as laying pipes, as well as grading, demolition, excavation and clearing operations across large areas.

ACCURACY AND VERSATILITY

Standard equipment on the SV100-2 includes two auxiliary circuits with proportional control via a joystick, plus adjustment using potentiometers. The proportional control adapts the flow of oil to the use and the needs of each attachment, as well as the task in hand. The operator thus has perfect control of all accessories. These include quick couplers, swing buckets, ditch-cleaning buckets, symmetrical buckets, brush cutters and hydraulic hammers. All of these match the international safety standards required.

MAXIMUM STABILITY AND LIFTING

The SV100-2 is equipped with the VICTAS® system, whose strength lies in its use of asymmetric crawlers to increase the tracking and support surface. Patented by Yanmar, this system additionally reduces track degradation, makes displacements quieter and reduces vibration, ensuring a more pleasant working environment. Associated with the use of a large counterweight and excellent weight distribution, it provides the same or even higher stability than other machines in the same weight class, as well as providing remarkable lifting capacities.

POWERFUL AND ECO-FRIENDLY ENGINE

The Yanmar diesel engine with direct injection has a net output of 51.7 kW (70.3 hp). It’s equipped with an electronic control unit and a common rail system that achieves an excellent power/consumption/noise ratio by electronic control of fuel injection. It also meets all EU Stage V emission standards. That’s thanks to features such as a Diesel Particulate Filter that traps particulate matter contained in exhaust gas. The exhaust gas is partially cooled and mixed with the incoming air to lower the oxygen concentration in the intake. This lowers combustion temperature and reduces emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx) while boosting fuel efficiency.

IMPROVED HYDRAULICS

The ViPPS hydraulic system has a configuration of one double, variable displacement, piston pump and two gear pumps. These three main pumps deliver a maximum flow of 208.6 l/min, available for main machine operating movements. Pump flows in the ViPPS system are cumulated in the main control valves to obtain the optimal combination in terms of speed, power, smoothness and balance. The system thereby ensures smooth and simultaneous performance of all operations, even while travelling.

REDUCED FUEL CONSUMPTION

A self-deceleration mechanism reduces engine speed when the SV100-2 isn’t working, although this can be disconnected if preferred. When the control levers aren’t used for four seconds, the engine automatically drops to idle, with the engine returning to previous speed once they are moved again. This helps save on both fuel and emissions. Eco mode can save up to 17% of fuel, thereby reducing operating costs. It’s particularly useful when a task requires little power and low speed of movement, such as when levelling a field using a ditching bucket.

UNEQUALLED COMFORT

The large entrance facilitates easy entrance and exit, while the cab interior is very spacious, with plenty of legroom to make long working hours easier. Broad travel pedals and hydraulic control levers are fluid and easy to use. Ideally located, the control levers also offer exceptional movement precision. The wide air-suspension seat with headrest allows the operator to find an optimal working position. In addition, the SV100-2 cab features a sophisticated anti-vibration and noise reduction system which greatly increases operator comfort.
