The Yanmar 4TN101FDT is a 3.8-litre, four-cylinder, water-cooled diesel engine producing 105 kW at 2,200 rpm and 550 Nm of torque. Its flat torque curve delivers a consistent hydraulic response across the full working range, making it well-suited to duty cycles that demand stable mid-range power rather than peak-only output.

The engine is certified to EU Stage V and EPA Tier 4 Final. Aftertreatment uses a separate DPF and SCR layout, a configuration chosen to improve durability and give OEM engineers greater flexibility in component placement on the machine. Common rail direct injection and After-cooled turbocharging contribute to fuel efficiency and low lube oil consumption, both of which reduce the total cost of ownership over the equipment’s service life.

Typical applications include: mid-size excavators from 10 tonnes, backhoe loaders, soil compactors, wheel loaders, telehandlers, tractors, forestry machinery and road pavers.
