YAZAKI EMEA N.V. wins Supplier of the Year 2024
In the annual review by Yanmar Europe of supplier performance, YAZAKI EMEA N.V. has been awarded “Supplier of the Year 2024”. Yazaki is a leading supplier of high and low voltage wire harness technology, connection systems and electronics, supporting Yanmar Europe with high-quality, customised electrical solutions for marine engine applications.

Yazaki is a long-term partner of Yanmar Group. In the EMEA region, Yazaki has been delivering wire harnesses and other electronic components to Yanmar Europe since 1996 when the production of sailboat engines began. 2024 was a difficult year for the leisure-marine market, but Yazaki continued to deliver high quality products against complex delivery schedules with extreme reliability. Recently, by preparing to transfer production of the Yanmar parts from one location to another, they give us a very clear and welcome signal that they wish to remain price-competitive.

Annual Supplier Evaluation and Award
Annual supplier evaluation and feedback is an essential part of maintaining and improving Yanmar’s high standards. Yanmar Europe works with more than 200 external vendors of parts and components. Each spring Yanmar evaluates the Top 25 suppliers by order value for the previous calendar year. The final score is based on criteria for quality, cost, delivery, technical expertise and general management topics. The vendor with the highest score is awarded “Supplier of the Year” and invited to receive their trophy during a short ceremony at Yanmar Europe headquarters in Almere, Netherlands.
