Yanmar drives first pile for warehouse expansion

Milestone marks key step in expanding parts storage capacity:

  • First pile driven for new 1,300 m2 storage facility on Yanmar Europe premises
  • Additional warehouse capacity supports growing demand for parts and service
  • Sustainability and efficiency central to the design
  • Scheduled for completion in Q1 2026

Almere, the Netherlands – June 2025 – With the symbolic driving of the first pile for a new 1,300 square meter storage facility, Yanmar Europe B.V. has reached an important milestone in the expansion of its warehouse in Almere. This facility forms an integral part of the European Parts Centre (EPC), Yanmar’s logistics hub for parts distribution across Europe and Africa. The expansion underlines Yanmar’s continued commitment to strengthening its distribution network and aftersales support. The new storage facility is located directly adjacent to the existing warehouse, ensuring maximum operational efficiency through full integration.

Part of a broader growth strategy

Yanmar supplies engines and industrial solutions to customers across a wide range of sectors throughout Europe and Africa. The expansion of the storage capacity is a direct response to increasing demand for parts and logistical flexibility, which has caused the current facility to consistently operate over capacity. The additional space enables the EPC to function at an optimal utilisation rate of 80 to 90 per cent. This is essential for maintaining operational stability, delivery reliability and room for future growth.

A sustainable, future-ready solution

The new storage facility has been designed with the latest standards in sustainability and efficiency in mind. By investing in a modern logistics infrastructure aligned with future business needs, Yanmar Europe continues to lead the market and remains well prepared for tomorrow’s challenges.

With ample storage capacity, a 24/7 accessible service system and a strong logistics network, Yanmar ensures fast and reliable parts delivery. This enables customers to maximise the uptime of their machines, minimise unplanned downtime and operate more efficiently and sustainably, fully in line with Yanmar’s mission: A Sustainable Future – Towards new prosperity through technology.

Construction progress and impact

Although preparatory work began earlier, the first pile marks the official start of the construction phase. Existing warehouse operations will remain fully functional throughout the project. The expanded 1,300 m² storage capacity is scheduled to become operational in the first quarter of 2026.
