Culture of Continuous Improvement with Yanmar’s Kaizen Training

During the week from November 10 to 14, Yanmar Europe B.V. Global Manufacturing Center organised a Kaizen training at HIMOINSA in Spain. The training focused on optimising the pre-assembly process of the canopy (housing of a generator) of one of the high-runner generator models that Himoinsa offers.

The Kaizen method, which focuses on continuous improvement, is a structured, practical approach that engages professionals at all levels in identifying opportunities to enhance processes through small and thoughtful steps. The combined solutions developed during the week led to a clear reduction in assembly time at several workstations.

Teamwork for Himoinsa

Professionals from five Yanmar subsidiaries worked together to analyse the current workflow, review performance data and identify opportunities for improvement. This collaboration resulted in 54 concrete ideas to make the pre-assembly process more efficient and easier to manage. In the coming period, the improvement activities will continue, with a final report planned for February 2026.
