Sakura Marine awarded Distributor of the Year 2024
During a special gathering at Yanmar Europe’s headquarters in Almere, Sakura Marine from Turkey was named Distributor of the Year 2024. The award, part of the Powered by Yanmar Vessel Project (CIMS), highlights the importance of collaboration around genuine parts and preventive maintenance.

Strong collaboration and growth
This recognition celebrates Sakura Marine’s outstanding contribution to the CIMS Project Parts program. Using a tailor-made list generated from the extensive CIMS database, Sakura took a proactive approach and visited each listed vessel to engage directly with ship owners. Their mission was clear: to convert vessels using non-genuine parts to Yanmar genuine parts. Through close cooperation with customers and the Yanmar team, Sakura Marine not only enhanced its service delivery but also achieved measurable growth in genuine parts usage. This dedication has led to stronger engine reliability, higher customer satisfaction, and a clear impact on long-term performance.

Inspiring performance across the Network
The other finalists—Navalcantieri Italia, FUJI Trading Marine, and Mapso Marine—are also congratulated for their strong performance and valuable contributions to the CIMS Project Parts program. Their efforts reflect the growing commitment across our network to promote genuine parts and deliver exceptional service. While Sakura Marine ultimately stood out as the top performer, each finalist played an important role in raising the bar.
At the heart of reliable operations
Yanmar believes it’s important to shine a light on its distributors. Their day-to-day efforts help ensure reliable performance, satisfied customers, and the smart use of genuine parts where it matters most. The annual award is a moment to acknowledge that impact. As more distributors get involved and build on these strong examples, we look forward to further growth and collaboration in the coming year.
