The new GHP\u2019s replace the previous J-series units that had reached the end of their operational lifespan. While the older systems were still functioning, several components were beginning to show wear, and they operated on a refrigerant that will be legally phased out next year. By replacing them proactively, we avoid unplanned downtime and ensure stable heating for our warehouse during winter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yanmar.com\/eu\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2025\/11\/IMG_1108-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1861\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.yanmar.com\/eu\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2025\/11\/IMG_1108-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.yanmar.com\/eu\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2025\/11\/IMG_1108-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.yanmar.com\/eu\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2025\/11\/IMG_1108-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.yanmar.com\/eu\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2025\/11\/IMG_1108-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.yanmar.com\/eu\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2025\/11\/IMG_1108-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\" id=\"h-efficient-effective-empowered\"><strong>Efficient, Effective, Empowered<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The new L-series GHPs offer improved internal efficiency while maintaining the same heating and cooling capacity. This means less incoming energy (gas) is needed to deliver the same output. An important benefit is that these units could be installed on a one-to-one basis, without changes to the existing footprint or connected building systems. This allowed us to manage costs effectively while maintaining proven Yanmar technology. The installation was completed smoothly by YESE with support from our service partner Kropman, requiring only minor on-site adjustments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\" id=\"h-one-step-beyond\"><strong>One step beyond<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The newly installed GHP\u2019s still operate on gas. At this stage, we are not switching to an electric system due to ongoing grid congestion in our area. Like many nearby companies, we are already operating close to the maximum electrical capacity allocated by the grid operator. Even the 1.224 solar panels that are installed&nbsp; on the roof cannot compensate for the structural shortage in grid capacity. Especially in winter, when their output is lowest and heating demand is highest. Moving electric now would therefore create an unacceptable operational risk. We are currently evaluating options to increase our electrical capacity, including storage solutions such as battery systems. As soon as it becomes technically feasible and operationally secure, we will start a phased transition toward more electrically driven systems and potentially phase out the GHPs<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At the Yanmar facility in Almere two new Yanmar Gas Heat Pumps (GHPs) have recently been installed.
