Professional football team founded by Bangkok Glass Industry in 1979, officially became a club team under the name of Bangkok Glass FC in 2006.
In 2019, the name of the team was changed to BG Pathum United (BGPU).
In the 2020 to 2021 season, the first year of the Thai League's transition to the fall to spring period, they won the league title with overwhelming performance and has been qualified for the Asian Champions League.
The club advanced to the best 8 for the first time in the ACL held in 2022, setting a new club record. Finally, 2022 marks the 10th year of the Club Club partnership with Cerezo Osaka, for which Yanmar is a top partner. There are players who belonged to Cerezo Osaka, such as Chau Wat and Tawan.

YAMAOKA HANASAKA ACADEMY (YHA) was established by Yanmar group in collaboration with Bangkok Glass Group, BG Pathum United and Cerezo Osaka, a partner club of BG Pathum United and a team in the J-League, Japan’s top football league. The objective is to focus on developing the football skills of disadvantaged Thai students who have a passion for the sport, by providing both academic and sporting opportunities and giving them the opportunity to realize their dream of becoming professional footballers. It is also hoped that this will improve football in Thailand.

YHA was established in 2016 and has been continuously developed to realize its goal of becoming one of the premium football academies in Thailand. YHA has an outstanding performance record and sets international standards as an academy football club.
