Within Yanmar Marine, the Global Marketing team plays a key role in enhancing brand visibility, driving engagement, and supporting business growth through strategic events and marketing initiatives. The Marketing Assistant (Events) supports the successful planning and execution of global and regional events while ensuring the timely delivery of marketing materials and event-related activities.

As our Marketing Assistant (Events), you support the coordination and execution of marketing events and assist with a variety of marketing activities. You work closely with the Global Marketing Manager and collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and event partners to help deliver professional and impactful events that strengthen the Yanmar Marine brand.

Event Support

  • Assist in the coordination and execution of trade shows, conferences, customer events, and product launches
  • Support event logistics, including venue coordination, travel arrangements, shipping, event setup, and breakdown
  • Liaise with vendors, venues, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth event delivery
  • Provide on-site event support, including registration management, attendee assistance, and issue resolution

Marketing Support

  • Create and update marketing and event assets using Canva, including presentations, signage, flyers, and social media graphics
  • Support pre- and post-event communications, including invitations, follow-up activities, and internal updates
  • Maintain marketing calendars, event schedules, and marketing asset libraries
  • Assist with preparing materials for campaigns, presentations, and internal reporting

Administration & Reporting

  • Track event timelines, tasks, and deliverables to support successful execution
  • Assist with budget administration, purchase orders, and invoice processing
  • Support post-event reporting, data collection, and performance tracking

The ideal Marketing Assistant (Events) is proactive, highly organized, and detail-oriented. You enjoy working in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same and have a hands-on attitude when it comes to supporting events and marketing activities. You are a strong team player who remains calm under pressure and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Event Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience in a marketing support or event coordination role
  • Experience supporting corporate events, trade shows, conferences, or marketing initiatives
  • Strong digital skills and proficiency in Canva for creating on-brand marketing and event materials
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with B2B events, CRM systems, or event management platforms is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to support events

This position is based in Almere, the Netherlands, with a hybrid working model of three days in the office and two days working from home.
