Organizing an arts and crafts sales made by autistic children

Yanmar Engine Shanghai (YSH) held an inhouse event in early December 2020, selling pillows, fans, towels, cups, and other artworks created by the children of the Rainbow Pen Children's Health Development Center, a public facility for autistic children.
This was the second time the event was held since 2015, with 48 employees purchasing 66 pieces of artwork. On January 4, 2021, we visited the Rainbow Pen Project to bring the proceeds. Shanghai is an area where support activities for children with autism are very active, and this center is also involved in various initiatives with a number of companies. The Center's efforts to expand year by year are very impressive and we hope to continue our relationship with the Center and continue this activity. Through this activity, we have been able to participate in the education of children and support their independence, even if it is in a small way.

Donated computers to elementary schools

In June 2020, YSH replaced the hard drives of 50 computers that were no longer needed and donated them to an economically disadvantaged elementary school in a rural area. After the donation, we were very happy to hear that the children who could not go to school due to the COVID-19 pandemic were able to take online classes at home. YSH also donated computers in 2016, which are still being used in two provincial elementary schools. YSH will continue to actively engage in social contribution activities.
