YANMAR Europe, European headquarters of the Japanese world-leading manufacturer of diesel engines, agricultural and construction equipment, and energy systems announces that they have taken the difficult decision to withdraw its attendance to EIMA, the international agricultural and gardening machinery exhibition in Italy in October this year.
Despite the fact that measures are being taken worldwide to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and that the vaccination programme is making progress, the pandemic is not yet under control. There is still a lot of uncertainty as to what activities we can safely and responsibly undertake for everyone during the course of the year. This also applies to (international) trade fairs where thousands of visitors and exhibitors gather.
Carlo Giudici, Sales Director at YANMAR Europe: “Since preparations for major events like these start months in advance, we have seen the need to already make the difficult decision not to participate in EIMA and other major trade fairs later on in the year. This decision was taken after intensive and thoughtful discussion about our plans and activities for this year and the medium term. We very much regret that, for the first time in many years, we will not be participating in EIMA. However, we continue to value and support this exhibition, which has always been important and rewarding to us. We hope to be able to join next EIMA again.”
With beginnings in Osaka, Japan, in 1912, YANMAR was the first ever to succeed in making a compact diesel engine of a practical size in 1933. Moving on, with diesel engines as the cornerstone of the enterprise, YANMAR has continued to expand its product range, services, and expertise to deliver total solutions as an equipment manufacturer. As a provider of small and large combustion engines, agricultural machinery and facilities, construction equipment, energy systems, marine engines, machine tools, and components — YANMAR’s global business operations span seven domains.
On land, at sea, and in the city, YANMAR’s Mission of “providing sustainable solutions focused on the challenges customers face, in food production and harnessing power, thereby enriching people’s lives for all our tomorrows,” stands testament to YANMAR’s determination to providing us with “A Sustainable Future.” For more information, visit us at https://www.yanmar.com/eu/about/
