Yanmar and Werft at Holland Fisheries Event
On 1 and 2 October, Yanmar Europe took part in the Holland Fisheries Event in Urk, together with its partner Werft Shipbuilding. The event is an important trade fair for the Dutch fishing and maritime industry, bringing together shipbuilders, vessel owners and other industry professionals. Urk is an important centre for the Dutch fishing industry, making it a relevant location for the event.
Janneke Z575 attracts strong interest
The joint stand attracted considerable interest, particularly in the fishing vessel Janneke Z575. The vessel is an important example of the collaboration between Yanmar and Werft Shipbuilding, combining Werft’s shipbuilding expertise with Yanmar’s marine propulsion technology.
The strong interest in the Janneke showed that the collaboration continues to attract attention within the Dutch maritime sector.

Valuable contacts and new opportunities
The exhibition provided a good opportunity to meet existing contacts, reconnect with industry professionals and discuss potential projects. Visitor numbers were also higher than at the previous edition, with particularly strong interest on Thursday.
One concrete result was an enquiry for a Yanmar marine engine. While it remains to be seen where this will lead, the exhibition provided valuable opportunities to strengthen existing relationships and explore new business opportunities.

Staying connected to the industry
The Dutch fishing industry continues to face challenges, making it important for companies to stay connected to the market and understand the needs of vessel owners and shipbuilders.
By exhibiting together with Werft Shipbuilding, Yanmar was able to strengthen its presence in this important market and demonstrate its continued commitment to the Dutch maritime industry.
