Yanmar welcomes strategic partners in Japan

From 13–17 April 2026, Yanmar’s Commercial Marine Department welcomed a selected group of distributors, agents, and valued customers to Japan for a special leadership visit focused on strengthening long-term partnerships and future collaboration.

The initiative was designed as a strategic investment in Yanmar’s global distributor and customer network, bringing together a new generation of leaders who will help shape future decision-making, brand positioning, and business growth across Africa, Europe, and emerging markets. The group included participants from France, Morocco, Iceland, Albania, and the Netherlands.

A dynamic and diverse program

To provide invited partners with a deeper understanding of Yanmar’s technology, people, and production capabilities, Yanmar organized a comprehensive and engaging program in Japan. Through factory visits, technical presentations, technology showcases, and direct interaction with Yanmar teams, participants gained valuable insight into the company’s innovation and manufacturing excellence.

Technique, culture and networking

Highlights of the visit included tours of Yanmar’s Amagasaki factory, specialized in large engines, and the Tsukaguchi facility, focused on small and mid-size engines. The program also created opportunities for networking, knowledge exchange, and strengthening long-term international partnerships. Alongside the business and technical agenda, guests enjoyed a variety of cultural and sightseeing activities, allowing them to experience Japanese hospitality and culture firsthand.

International recognition for Yanmar’s initiative

The participating partners and countries expressed strong appreciation for Yanmar’s initiative to bring them together, strengthen collaboration, and encourage knowledge exchange within the global marine sector. During the visit, Yanmar also recognized the contributions and achievements of several participating companies through a series of awards. The Soremar Group received the Merit Shield as Best Client in Africa, while Abdelrahim El Habza, CEO of Habza Holding Group, was honored with the Continental Best Client Shield in recognition of the group’s outstanding performance in the marine engine sector.

Following this, the specialized Moroccan maritime news platform Al Bahr News published an article highlighting the strong relationship between Yanmar and the Moroccan marine industry. The publication emphasized Morocco’s growing importance as a strategic maritime hub for Africa and reflected the increasing international recognition of the region’s marine sector expertise.

Building the future together
