As our Supply Chain Specialist you will support the planning and execution of operational activities across the supply chain. You will collect and consolidate sales forecasts, provide insights to production planning and coordinate closely with warehouse and sales colleagues to ensure product availability at all times. Your work ensures reliable supply performance that aligns with customer needs and supports the growth of our business.

You will monitor procurement needs, define purchasing priorities and follow up on supplier performance to guarantee timely delivery of products and components. You will also oversee inventory control processes to maintain accurate stock levels, anticipate fluctuations in demand and resolve potential bottlenecks between internal teams and external parties.

You will contribute to long term supply chain initiatives by providing data, analysis and operational support for projects such as new product launches or promotional campaigns. You will monitor KPIs and participate in cross functional projects to help improve efficiency, cost effectiveness and service performance across the supply chain.

  • Collect and consolidate forecasts for finished products and components
  • Align demand expectations with production capabilities and sales requirements
  • Analyze forecast accuracy and historical data and report variances
  • Define purchasing priorities based on forecasts and internal needs
  • Process purchase requests in line with operational requirements
  • Manage supplier performance and ensure compliance with cost, quality and delivery expectations
  • Monitor inventory levels and anticipate demand fluctuations
  • Resolve delivery or coordination issues within the supply chain
  • Provide insights on trends that may influence service levels
  • Support planning for new product launches and network optimisation projects
  • Track supply chain KPIs and prepare reports for management
  • Participate in cross functional initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement

The ideal Supply Chain Specialist is analytical, well organised and proactive in resolving operational challenges. You have experience in supply chain operations, inventory control or demand planning and feel comfortable working with data and ERP systems. You collaborate effectively with colleagues across sales, warehouse, logistics and production planning and enjoy contributing to smooth and efficient supply chain processes.

  • Bachelor degree in supply chain, logistics, business administration or equivalent practical experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in supply chain operations or demand planning
  • Experience with inventory optimisation and demand forecasting
  • Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems
  • Strong analytical skills with experience evaluating supply chain KPIs
  • Experience in supplier relationship management
  • Fluent in English and another European language is an advantage
  • Knowledge of lean inventory principles or JIT methods
  • Understanding of sales and operational planning processes

This position is part of Yanmar Europe or Yanmar Marine International. The work is based in Almere.
