Yanmar Europe and Yanmar Marine B.V. operate manufacturing and operations activities that
focus on high product quality, safety, and reliability. Within our Operations organization, the
Quality team plays a key role in ensuring that products meet defined standards and regulatory
requirements throughout the production process
What are you going to do?
As our Quality Control Inspector you are responsible for performing quality inspections on
incoming goods, in-process assemblies, and finished products. You ensure that all inspections
are carried out according to defined procedures and that deviations are identified, documented,
and addressed in close cooperation with production, engineering, and quality colleagues.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Perform inline and final inspections of assembled and outgoing products
- Conduct visual, technical, and quantity inspections of incoming goods
- Register and document inspection results accurately and in a timely manner
- Identify, report, and follow up on non-conformities and quality deviations
- Perform random sample inspections on picked parts and option boxes
- Support rework and repair activities by re-checking corrected products
- Carry out visual inspections for physical damage, workmanship, labeling, and conformity
- Perform electrical harness testing using a digital multimeter including continuity, resistance,
and insulation checks - Inspect prototype and first-run products and record inspection results for approval
- Maintain inspection tools and equipment and ensure accurate calibration records
- Follow safety, environmental, and quality guidelines at all times
- Support additional operational activities within production when required
Who are we looking for?
The ideal Quality Control Inspector is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and committed to
maintaining high quality standards. You work accurately, follow procedures consistently, and
collaborate effectively with colleagues across production and quality functions.
You bring:
- Secondary vocational education in mechanical engineering with training in quality control
- Good to advanced technical knowledge in mechanical engineering depending on level
- Familiarity with assembly tools, inspection equipment, and quality control principles
- Relevant quality control experience ranging from 2 to over 3 years depending on role level
- Knowledge of electrical harness assembly and wiring standards
- Proficiency in using a digital multimeter for continuity, voltage, and resistance checks
- Fluency in Dutch and English, other European languages are a plus
