A long-standing trust in Yanmar CE

Yanmar Compact Equipment EMEA
Dennis Adamczyk first drove a Yanmar excavator at the age of 15, whilst training to be a gardener. Ever since, he has been a firm believer in their quality and performance.
“I was one of those kids who would stand by the site fence for hours, completely fascinated, watching the big machines at work,” recalls Dennis Adamczyk with a laugh. Today, he is the one behind the wheel – both as a driver of Yanmar compact equipment, and as the owner of his own landscaping company, “Dennis Adamczyk Garten- und Landschaftsbau” in Baden-Württemberg.
After training as a gardener and later qualifying as a master craftsman in gardening and landscaping, Dennis took the step into self-employment on 1 May 2017. Today, he remains hands-on on site with his team of three employees and a fleet of five Yanmar machines.
An encounter that will last a lifetime
Dennis is supported by someone who has become a key figure in his life: Luis Ramos, Sales Manager at M&V Baumaschinen, the Yanmar Compact Equipment (Yanmar) dealer located in Dettenhausen. The two first met several years ago on a construction site, where Dennis was working with a Yanmar SV08-1C short tail swing excavator.
“Nowadays, whenever I have an idea about how a Yanmar might be adapted for my purposes, or a new challenge arises, I go to Luis.” says Dennis.
Luis Ramos adds: “That’s one of the many advantages of Yanmar machines – thanks to the clever hydraulic and pump system, solutions can be realised that go beyond the standard. In construction you have to remain flexible.”
And when asked what Dennis values so much about Yanmar machines, his answer came straight off the cuff: “The high reliability and durability – I’ve never had a problem with a single machine.” And regarding what he would like to see from Yanmar, Dennis replied spontaneously: “Please leave the ViO17 just as it is – this excavator is simply brilliant. There’s nothing better on the market”.
Dennis’s ViO17 is the ‘Swiss Army knife’ of compact excavators. With an operating weight of around 1.8 tonnes, true zero tail swing and a variable undercarriage, it is designed to combine stability with the flexibility needed for narrow access work.
“I’ve got it fully kitted out, with Powertilt and the option to switch to the 4th control circuit – for the construction sorting grapple, for example. We can use it to move stones, bundle garden waste – lots of tasks that were typically done by hand are now simply handled. That saves time and takes the strain off the whole team in their day-to-day work.”
With attachments like sorting grapples, chisels, grading buckets and screening buckets, the ViO17 is flexible enough for everything from classic construction work to maintenance tasks. The machine comes into its own in confined working areas: “With its zero-tail design, it’s virtually unbeatable when space is tight,” says Dennis.
Versatility that makes a difference in everyday life
For Dennis Adamczyk, no two projects are alike – precisely what makes it so appealing. One current project involves restoring a completely overgrown plot – felling trees, removing roots and preparing the site for a new garden design; with a terrace, planting and a play area.
Another project demonstrates how traditional earthworks are increasingly being combined with sustainable solutions today: a 9,000-litre cistern is being installed for a client to store and reuse water in the future – for example, for flushing toilets, running the washing machine or watering the garden; with larger machines used for the necessary excavation work.
With machines including the ViO27, the ViO57 with Powertilt and quick coupler, and the V80 wheel loader, Dennis is just as well equipped for larger earthworks as he is for precise operations in confined spaces. Compact models such as the ViO17 or the SV08-1C really come into their own when space is tight.
Conclusion: Close to the action, clear-headed
Dennis Adamczyk runs a business with short lines of communication, practical decision-making and a fleet tailored to the demands of demands of day-to-day operations. Close collaboration with partners such as M&V Baumaschinen ensures bespoke solutions are also possible.
“At the end of the day, it has to work. And if you can rely on your equipment, the rest falls into place.”
