Within Yanmar Europe, the Finance and Accounting team plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial processing, strong internal controls, and reliable reporting. The Accounts Payable function directly supports efficient cash management, regulatory compliance, and strong supplier relationships across the organisation.

As our Accounts Payable Specialist, you independently manage end-to-end accounts payable activities. You ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments in line with company policies and financial controls. You act as a key contact for vendors and internal stakeholders and contribute to efficient processes, reliable reporting, and continuous improvement within the AP function.

  • Review, verify, and process supplier invoices using OCR and AI tools
  • Prepare and execute bank transfers across multiple banking institutions
  • Process employee expense reimbursements promptly
  • Act as primary contact for vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies
  • Maintain and update vendor master data and process new vendor setup requests
  • Reconcile AP ledgers and ensure accurate and timely month-end closing support
  • Manage the cash disbursement process and support monthly DPO targets
  • Ensure proper documentation and record keeping for all AP transactions
  • Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements
  • Support implementation and rollout of new systems and procedures
  • Assist during internal and external audits and provide required documentation
  • Collaborate with Operations, Sales, HR, and Yanmar subsidiaries to ensure accurate financial transactions

The ideal Accounts Payable Specialist is an experienced finance professional who works accurately and independently in a dynamic environment. You combine strong analytical skills with a hands-on mentality and take ownership of the full accounts payable process. You communicate clearly, maintain strong stakeholder relationships, and continuously look for ways to improve efficiency and controls.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting
  • Experience with high-volume invoice processing and automation tools
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Exact Globe or SAP S4HANA
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as SAP Concur, Medius, or Onventis
  • Proven experience with process improvement and automation within Accounts Payable
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles related to Accounts Payable
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and solve problems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in Dutch and English, other European languages are a plus
