On construction sites across Alsace, Kubler Travaux Publics, a local company, demonstrates every day just how the combination of compactness, power, operator comfort and local support can transform day-to-day performance.

In the Obernai region, at the heart of an area renowned for its tourist appeal and scenic landscapes, where technical demands and a variety of construction sites go hand in hand, one machine is gradually establishing itself as an essential tool for day-to-day work: the Yanmar ViO33-7 mini-excavator.
Used by Kubler Travaux Publics, a local earthworks and small-scale construction firm, it perfectly illustrates the brand’s strengths: compact, versatile machines designed to meet the practical demands of the job site.

A demanding local firm with deep roots in the region

Founded in 2015 and based in Zellwiller (Bas-Rhin), the company led by Sylvain Kubler – which will soon be moving to new premises in the same town – works on a variety of projects: earthworks, landscaping, utilities and masonry.
With a small team of three people, the organisation relies on a high degree of versatility and a constant commitment to quality. Here, there is no marketing strategy or mass communication: growth is based exclusively on the quality of the company’s work and the satisfaction of its clients. A clear positioning that demands a high standard of performance for every project.

A choice driven by proximity and quality

With a view to renewing his fleet by the end of 2025, Sylvain Kubler turned to Yanmar following discussions initiated with Frédéric Rossi, manager of ACE Alsace, the brand’s distributor.
“We were planning to replace our machinery and were in the research phase. Frédéric Rossi came to present the Yanmar range to us, and we quickly realised it met our expectations. ”
Beyond the machine itself, it was also the quality of the dialogue and the sales support that made the difference: a direct, transparent relationship built for the long term. Several other factors also influenced the decision, notably the fact that the machines are manufactured in France, at a site around two hours from the company, the overall quality of the equipment, and the warranty terms offered.
It was all these factors, combined with the standard of equipment and ease of use, that confirmed our choice: “You can feel the difference straight away. The finish, the ease of use, the quality of the equipment… it’s clearly superior to other machines available on the market,” says Sylvain Kubler.

A machine designed for versatility on construction sites

The company has opted for the Yanmar ViO33-7, a fully equipped mini-excavator: reversible hydraulic quick coupler, LED lighting, air conditioning, reversing camera, complete hydraulic lines and an anti-theft system. As a machine in the 3.3-tonne class featuring Yanmar’s ‘zero rear swing radius (ViO) technology, it is perfectly suited to sites with restricted access, whilst offering the stability and digging capacity required for tasks such as trench digging and pipe laying, with a maximum digging depth of 3,185 mm (with the blade lowered).
A choice driven above all by the search for the right balance. “We already had machines in this weight class, and a smaller mini-excavator,” explains Sylvain Kubler. “The ViO33-7 stood out as the ideal solution: compact enough for difficult access points, yet powerful enough to meet all our needs.”

Performance proven in the field

It was on a recent project at a school that the machine fully demonstrated its capabilities. The job involved installing particularly heavy concrete pipes, weighing up to 700 kg. A technical challenge that the machine rose to with ease.
“Honestly, I had my doubts at first. But the machine proved decisive, particularly thanks to its stability and lifting capacity for this type of load. It enabled us to carry out the operation under good conditions, with precision and safety. With our old equipment, it would have been more complicated,” says Sylvain Kubler.
In demanding regions such as Obernai, where technical constraints meet sometimes complex environments, the ViO33-7 quickly stands out for its versatility and technology. These conditions often involve working in confined spaces on active construction sites, such as schools or public spaces, handling heavy items such as concrete pipes, and adapting to changing ground conditions – all of which require precision, stability and meticulous control of the machine. This balance is essential for optimising productivity on sites where every operation must be swift and precise. After several months of use, Sylvain Kubler’s verdict is clear: “The machine is top quality. It’s a great piece of kit.”

A partnership focused on performance

This experience perfectly illustrates Yanmar’s approach: to offer reliable, high-performance machines, backed by a network of dedicated dealers who are close to their customers. In Alsace, ACE Alsace fully embraces this role, supporting its customers in selecting, commissioning and maintaining their equipment.
The ViO33-7 is not just a high-performance machine: it becomes a true site partner, delivering precision, productivity and quality. These are essential values for companies such as Kubler Travaux Publics.
