20 companies participated in Service Awards FY2020. The ceremony was held on each company due to the COVID-19 following previous year.

    I was surprised because I didn't expect to win the award, but I am happy to receive the award as a representative of YANMAR CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT.

    For quality problems and sudden failures that occur in the market, we first go to ourselves to solve problems that must be dealt with with a sense of speed.
    It feels great when customers could say, “You came already? Thank you!” I would like to increase this number of cases steadily.

    I was very happy to hear about the award. I gained confidence in the experience and knowledge I have cultivated so far.

    We are conscious of services from the customer's perspective and strive to provide services that satisfy our customers as much as possible.
    When the machine breaks down and I go to the site, the customer looks uneasy, but when the machine is repaired, he smiles and says “Thank you,” which makes me happy. Sometimes I find it difficult to work in a harsh environment such as under the scorching sun or a snowstorm, but the word “Thank you” saves me a lot.

    How did you feel when you heard you had won the award?
    I was surprised, but I am happy to receive the award. I am honored to receive such an award. I feel that this award is not due to my personal strength, but to the seniors who have taught me and my colleagues who have supported me. I hope to continue working harder with the help of many people.

    In order to eliminate mistakes as much as possible, I try working calmly and work without rushing. During on-site repairs, a breakdown occurred when the repairing work was almost completed. I had to order some parts, but there was also a customer's request to finish it today, so we did our best and had it repaired. After the repair, when the customer said, “Thank you very much. Thank you,” I felt relieved and rewarded that I did my best to repair it.

    I was surprised if I could really get it.
    It is not natural that the sales of the branch service business are increasing, but I think that it is because all the employees of the Kobayashi branch provide after-sales service that pleases the customers, and that is the reason why they are attentive to the customers. I will.

    What we are particular about in providing services is to thoroughly manage the number of stocks and handle each part and product carefully.
    What I was happy to hear from the customer was that “even when the person in charge was absent, it was helpful that you all knew the ordered parts.” If the customer is a frequent visitor, we know what they are looking for, so they were pleased to have us being able to respond immediately.
    For the future, I would like to continue working motivated every day so that I can respond to customers' satisfaction.

    I was surprised, but I'm glad to be chosen. I think this award is due to the efforts of the sales staff who receive orders for maintenance and the clerical staff who handle orders and sales. I would like to continue to make efforts to achieve good results while cooperating with each other as a whole branch.

    I keep in mind to provide service that makes customers think, “Let's ask for maintenance here again” by additionally checking, lubricating, and adjusting visible parts, instead of repairing only the requested contents and parts.
    It makes me happy when customers would thank me at any time, and I'd continue to build a relationship with each customer so that they can speak frankly to me when they see me.

    Thank you very much for choosing me for this prestigious award. I thought that such an honor had nothing to do with me, so I was just surprised to hear the award notification.     I perform a visual check of the entire procedure during a test run after repairs and maintenance so that customers can return to the water with peace of mind. In addition, during the conversations with customers, I also propose other maintenance too for concerned parts. When the customer says “Thank you” and “I'll rely on you again” after the work. I feel that I gained a little relationship with the customer. It makes happy.

    When dealing with inquiries and troubles, we aim to resolve them as soon as possible, and we also try to share information within the department.

    When I visited a customer, who was not always a friendly person, to notify I was being transferred, he asked for a handshake and said, “Thank you for always maintaining without any large troubles. Please do your best in your transfer destination.”

    I never knew I was awarded until I was on the award ceremony stage (without prior notice). I was very surprised and at the same time I was told that I had to give a speech, so I thought “what in the world should I say...” momentarily. Now I am very honored to be able to engrave my name in the long history of Yanmar, and I am grateful for the establishment of this award.

    I am working with the belief that it will lead to the growth of myself by facing seriously to the work I have been given and asking myself questions. As a commitment, I regard the essence of CS as (communication, complaint handling ability, quick processing ability), and I am faithfully executing it every day while being aware of it, and now I feel that it has naturally permeated.

    Though I haven't seen the actual machine much and am not familiar with the structure, when I receive a parts inquiry, I try to answer it to the customer after understanding and convincing myself.
    When answering the inquiry, I was happy that the service company said, “Thank you very much, I am grateful.”

    Every service is a chance to hear from customers. After the discussion, I realized that most of the customers do not expect anything big. Customers simply wants a easy contact to the service person when a failure occurs and solve the problem by means of phone guidance or on-site repair, so that their work is not affected and the profit is not affected. What I have to do is to take advantage of study opportunities every workday, gain experience, improve my skills, and quickly come up with the best solution in the field. After solving the problem, I feel happy when customers say “thank you” and “glad I met you.”

    I was waiting to be selected since the service awards began, but when I was actually notified of the award, my feeling was complicated because I know that there are colleagues who are more capable in their respective positions and environments.
