FUNDAMENTAL RESEARCH

FUNDAMENTAL RESEARCH

Forefront research to shape the future standards.

Fundamental research in our own centralized research facility

YANMAR has been one of engine manufacturers which has maintained their own general research facilities since 1956 despite the trend in recent years toward fewer companies operating large in-house research centers. This is a demonstration of the company's recognition that having a central research organization play a central role in technology development is essential to overcoming the challenges that customers face and delivering value that exceeds their expectations over the long-term.
YANMAR, centering on the Research & Development Center in Maibara , has worked on unique technologies like low fuel consumption technology, clean energy technology, alternative energy technology, and as technologies supporting those, reliability technology, electronic control technology, and so on.

For providing optimum value to various machines

YANMAR has promoted optimization technology for engines and machines performance by numerical simulation analysis and simulation ,in order to provide optimum value to our customers swiftly. In order to analyze, we have not only established analysis technology but also corrected data concerning combustion state, catalyst, materials and as basic data base for analysis. As a result, we have realized optimum engine performance for various machines.

Unique and next generation technologies produced in our own research facility

Our research facility is promoting advanced fundamental research for power train, focusing on the next generation society and customers.
Such research from our long term viewpoint has contributed to realizing innovative power train like class leading fuel efficiency, high output, world leading certification of emission regulation ※, and so on.
It has kept working on technology diversification for next generation, such as fuel cell, motorizing and so on.
