Apprenticeship and Dual Studies
Our company attaches an increasing importance to apprenticeships. We believe that this type of training is a win-win solution. In 2020, apprentices and dual students represent 6% of our workforce. While we encourage them in trades that are in the highest demand, apprenticeships are relevant to every area of our company. It is also an ethical way to create a recruiting ground for skills. As for how it benefits our apprentices and dual students, the experience is a real success: in 2019, 93% of participants passed their exams or progressed to a higher level within the company.
At Yanmar, apprentices and dual students follow the same integration process as other employees (see Working with Yanmar) and have the opportunity to participate in one of the integration breakfasts organised several times a year.
