I’ve been working for Yanmar for over 10 years, starting in the Spare Parts Department, in charge of Customer Service.

What are your main job roles today?

Since 6 years I am responsible for the Parts Sales Business Development + Marketing for the EMEA region, developing with my team the business relationship with our dealer network, ensuring excellent parts service quality and driving sales growth together with our dealers, to be successful and make our customers happy.

I like the diversity of this role. I get to interact and work on a daily basis with team members and dealers all over the EMEA region, which gives me a very wide horizon in terms of international as well as cross functional collaboration. From Aftermarket to equipment sales, factories, finance, marketing, operations, technical service and field support, there are relations to everyone.

What do you like about Yanmar?

Yanmar encourages thinking outside the box, developing yourself, contributing actively with your experience and ideas to innovate and develop the business from all angles. Lean hierarchies enable team members to be heard. Development is not supposed to happen top-down only, but bottom-up. Transformation and change are happening, providing opportunities to learn and grow.

What makes you proud to work for Yanmar?

Yanmar has a vision that is focused on improving the lives of people and the planet through innovative technologies on many angles, far beyond our own life-time span and profit only.

What does “Building With You” mean to you?

“Building with you” means for me that the collective power of a group is more important than the individual, that we strive to understand the point of view and needs of the other, may it be team member, business partner or customer, and build solutions together based on that.

How do you put it into practice every day?

In everyday live I believe in empathy, listening more than talking, trying to encourage, inspire and support each other, and celebrate progress together.

Senior Product Manager

What is your background with Yanmar?

I joined Yanmar in September 2017 as product manager in charge of the mini-excavators product portfolio. It soon became obvious that the legacy and strength of the Yanmar brand, together with a strong commitment of colleagues to its success, were valuable assets that I could rely on as I sought to make my own contribution to the development of the company.

What are your main job roles today?

In my work I act as an interface between the market, Yanmar sales and marketing teams, and departments involved in the development and industrialisation of our products. My role is to identify customer needs and monitor market and competitor trends, translating them into development opportunities, business cases and, finally, product specifications.

At each important milestone throughout the product lifecycle, I act as a centralised source of information. I actively support marketing and sales activities like product launches, exhibitions, dealer events and any product-specific communications.

What I like is the cross-functional interaction with a variety of colleagues within Yanmar. The time spent in the field also brings plenty of occasions to meet with passionate and professional dealers, as well as customers. I’m really motivated to take an active role along this journey.

Time is passing by so quickly, every day comes with a palette of topics and challenges to deal with, from strategic thinking to commercial and operational deployment. I truly appreciate this diversity in my job; it keeps me in a dynamic and positive state of mind.

My job at Yanmar allows me to interact with a wide range of people from all over the world! I have various exchanges with our financial partners, with our dealers and also with our internal sales force. It's exciting, and I'm never bored. The campaigns we deploy are all different, and their application differs from country to country. I'm learning a lot and my work-study period at Yanmar is a really rich experience.

The first thing that comes to mind is the working atmosphere and the friendliness of the people in this company. I feel supported by my managers and colleagues. More generally, in my discussions with our partners, I've realized that Yanmar is a group with a very good brand image and that our machines are renowned for their quality. This is an asset for my missions!

What does “Building With You” mean to you?

I often draw a parallel between our slogan and an expression close to my heart: “Alone we go faster, together we go further”. It seems obvious to me that it's by joining forces that we'll succeed in giving our company, our employees and our customers a bright future.

How do you put it into practice every day?

To succeed in my missions, I can't work in my corner! I need feedback from everyone involved to understand whether the things we're putting in place are effective. And in the same way, the team needs me to improve our performance!
