Osaka, Japan (November 14, 2025) – The 32 private companies participating in the “MIDORI Decarbonization Overseas Deployment Consortium,” which includes Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd., issued a joint statement titled “Statement at COP30 on Climate Change, Agri-Food System, and Sustainable Development” during a seminar at the Japan Pavilion at the 30th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP30).

The consortium was established to promote the development of decarbonization projects and to serve as an implementation tool for the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries’ “Initiative for Net-zero compatible with Food security through International expansion of Innovative Technology” commonly known as MIDORI∞INFINITY. The initiative supports the overseas deployment of Japanese technologies and know-how that contribute to food security and greenhouse gas reduction. As of October 21, 2025, a total of 109 companies and organizations have joined the consortium.
The statement aims to address the increasingly complex challenges of climate change in the agriculture and livestock sectors by actively utilizing solutions provided by Japanese private companies. It promotes the overseas deployment of greenhouse gas emission reduction technologies through public-private partnerships and seeks to attract climate finance to the agricultural sector.

As part of its commitment to realizing a sustainable society, the Yanmar Group is advancing the YANMAR GREEN CHALLENGE 2050. One specific initiative is a Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) project in the Philippines, conducted by Yanmar Agri Co., Ltd. and Yanmar Philippines Corporation in partnership with Faeger Co., Ltd. The project aims to reduce methane emissions from rice paddies by introducing the Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) water management technique.
By lowering methane—a potent greenhouse gas—emissions, the project contributes to climate change mitigation. Yanmar is collaborating with the governments of Japan and the Philippines, as well as local farmers, to secure the issuance of JCM credits.

Going forward, the Yanmar Group will continue contributing to the realization of MIDORI∞INFINITY’s vision through the provision of greenhouse gas reduction technologies as a member of the MIDORI Decarbonization Overseas Deployment Consortium.
