YKRC hosted interns from a local university

Yanmar Kota Kinabalu R&D Center (YKRC) is committed to the success of next generations. From July to October this year, we hosted two students from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia as interns. The internship program, a joint project with the university, was designed to encourage students to get practical experience of a real job and develop work ethics they need for their future; and for YKRC to see young perspectives from new generation.

Donations to children

We are cooperating with the community to make our society better for everyone. In June, two teams of our colleagues visited children at institutions for the underprivileged and for the mental disorder, to deliver a donation from YKRC along with large boxes of biscuits. Even if it is only a small contribution, we would like to realize a society where everyone can live with peace of mind.

Recycling activities

YKRC promotes *3S and *3T activities for a better workplace. Also, we are working to reduce waste from our business. One of the ways we do this is through recycling. As part of the efforts, 252 kg of used paper collected during cleanups will be recycled in October, and 620 kg of used metal have already been sent to a waste disposal company for recycling in March. We aim for a sustainable future through the effective use of limited resources.

*3S: Sorting, setting in order, and cleaning; Seiri, Seiton, and Seisou in Japanese
*3T: Fixed position, fixed quantity, and fixed goods; Teiichi, Teiryo, and Teihin in Japanese
