YANMAR America’s Commercial Marine Division is pleased to announce the addition of three new Repower Centers to its distribution network: Kennedy Engine in Biloxi, Mississippi; Sun Power Diesel in Dania Beach, FL and Todomar in Colombia.

“YANMAR is looking to add local market experts to our distribution network. Kennedy Engine, Sun Power and Todomar are a good match due to their regional knowledge of applications and customers in terms of needs and expectations,” commented Terry Wallace, Division Manager for YANMAR America Commercial Marine.

Kennedy Engine has a history as long as YANMAR’s dating back to 1912 when William Patrick Kennedy introduced the otter trawl and gasoline-powered Lugger to the seafood industry in Biloxi, Mississippi. Since that time, four generations have been serving the Gulf region in the marine diesel engine market. Today, the company remains privately owned, and specializes in marine propulsion engines and auxiliary engines and generators for the commercial work boat market.

“I recognize the superior quality and enhanced durability of YANMAR commercial marine engines,” commented Tom Kennedy, president of Kennedy Engine, on the addition of the YANMAR brand to his portfolio.

Sun Power Diesel is one of south Florida’s oldest and most recognized companies for the sales of marine engines, generators and parts, as well as service support. The company is staffed with experts in both repower and new build opportunities, and it maintains a full fleet of mobile service vehicles which also have full staff of certified, factory-trained technicians.

“Sun Power Diesel is very pleased to become a member of the YANMAR commercial marine team as a repower center for new engine sales, parts and service. YANMAR’s commercial engine product line and excellent reputation expands Sun Power Diesel’s ability to deliver a much greater range of power selection to customers seeking light duty through to continuous duty engines that are durable, fuel efficient and with long service life,” said Dean Gualillo, Sales Manager of Sun Power Diesel.

Todomar C.H.L S.A.S., located in Colombia, was established in 1997 to provide solutions and supplies for marine products and services to marinas and the marine industry as a whole. In addition, the company manufactures a variety of sport and commercial boats including passenger vessels, pilot boats, fishing boats and patrol craft.

“We are proud to represent YANMAR’s marine engines, which ensure quality, efficiency and durability to our customers in multiple applications. YANMAR, through innovation and superiority in products, guarantees and surpasses customer expectations, which builds long-term relationships,” commented Alvaro Cavelier, General Manager of Todomar.
