Official Statement Regarding Japan Earthquake and Tsunami
April 12, 2011


Thank you all for your patience and understanding during this difficult time in Japan.  We have the following updates related to our Construction Equipment, Industrial Engine and Marine Engine divisions.  

Construction Equipment Division:
The Fukuoka factory is operating at 50% capacity through April 15th.  Spare parts will be available as usual but please note spare engines manufactured at our Biwa Plant may experience delays.  We have no further updates after April 15th but we will keep you abreast as our current conditions change and improve.

Industrial Engine:
The Biwa Plant is operating at limited capacity the week of April 11th.  No additional information is available after April 18th but Yanmar will continue to update our customers as more information becomes available.

Marine Engine:
The Yanmar Japan Marine facility will continue with normal manufacturing through April 15th.  No additional updates are available past April 18th.  For the Yanmar Marine Engine factory in The Netherlands production will continue as normal through May 20th.  No updates are available after this date due to the operating conditions at the Biwa Plant where specific engine parts are sourced.

Orders are still being accepted for all Yanmar products but we are unable to give a firm delivery date at this time.

As soon as Yanmar America receives additional information, we will update our OEM’s, Distributors, and Dealers.  Thank you again for your patience during this difficult time.
