Yanmar is a Manchester United Official Global Partner

September 17, 2012
Yanmar Co., Ltd.

Yanmar is proud to announce that we have become a Manchester United Official Global Partner. The partnership commences from the 2012 season, for a period of 3 years. (The contract sum is undisclosed.)
Yanmar established its own football club in 1957, and holds dear the passion, dreams, and spirit of challenge that football inspires. The club, now known as Cerezo Osaka, was the very first club that Shinji Kagawa joined on his first steps into his professional football career.
Yanmar has been a staunch supporter of Shinji Kagawa ever since his professional debut at the age of 17, and our enthusiasm for him remains undimmed.
In the words of Ken Araki, Chief Manager of the Brand Management Department:
“As a company that has long been actively involved in supporting both the sport of football and Shinji Kagawa, this partnership is a natural move for us. Since the foundation of Yanmar 100 years ago, we have striven to be the best at what we do in diverse and challenging fields, and with Kagawa playing for the best clubs in the world and giving his all in a wide range of circumstances, we, at Yanmar, see parallels in our situations. We enter into this partnership in a spirit of encouragement and support and with a shared dream. With Manchester United’s popularity and presence in Asia and the world, Yanmar is confident that this partnership will promote the company’s global presence and activities. ”
Currently, Yanmar is also one of Borussia Dortmund BVB’s Champion Partners. This partnership alliance with Manchester United will be Yanmar’s second overseas football partnership.
