YANMAR America's Agriculture Division Donates Use of Tractor to Season's Harvest at Berry College

Yanmar America Agriculture’s division is pleased to announce that it has donated the use of a LX4900 tractor with loader and backhoe to The Berry Farms Season’s Harvest, a Berry College Student Enterprise.

Yanmar and Berry College share many of the same core values. Founded in 1902, Berry College is located in Rome, Georgia on 27,000 acres, the world’s largest contiguous college campus. The private college has been recognized by the Princeton Review for its sustainability efforts on campus, and it challenges its students to devote their learning to community and civic betterment through offering the nation’s premier on-campus Work Experience Program; this program guarantees all students a paid, on-campus work position for the duration of their enrollment. This dedication to the community and a better society aligns perfectly with Yanmar’s mission to provide sustainable solutions for needs which are essential for human life to enrich all of our tomorrows.

Yanmar’s tractor use donation will benefit Season’s Harvest at Berry Farms, one of the campus’ many work experience programs, which will use the LX4900 in their daily garden and orchard operations, including tilling, bed shaping, planting and mowing. The goal of Season’s Harvest is to provide fresh, naturally-grown seasonal produce and education to the Berry community and surrounding areas.
