Chisel is characterized as a type of heavy cultivator. It is agricultural equipment that works without overturning the soil, has a low soil breaking effect but a high relief effect. Structure; It is connected to a roof in two rows in the form of odd-numbered groups (such as 5-7-9) of the legs with narrow end bars. This geometric structure of the chisel feet changes the physical properties of the soil during tillage and minimizes the energy consumption and time requirement with the reduction in the number of operations. Since it leaves more plant residues on the soil surface, it significantly reduces the effect of erosion.
The Plough works by overturning and breaking the soil and makes the physical structure of the soil suitable for cultivated plants. Chisel, on the other hand, works without overturning the soil, has a low crushing effect but a high relief effect. Chisel reduces the effect of runoff because it has less effect on moisture loss in the soil compared to plow and leaves more plant residues on the soil surface. The use of chisels is more effective than the use of ploughs on soils whose natural structure is not suitable for minimum tillage and cultivation without tillage.
Chisel is in the low price segment, although it has many benefits in soil cultivation and anti-erosion tillage system. To get information about Chisel prices, you can contact us by filling out the contact form.
Chisel is used for tillage without the need for a plow after harvest. Due to the unique structure of its legs, it breaks the bottom layer of the plow and can cultivate less clod in the dry summer months when plow processing cannot be done. With its ability to tillage at high working depth, it facilitates the aeration of the soil, the withdrawal of rain water to the bottom of the soil, the preservation of soil moisture, the breaking of the hard layer and the descent of the roots of the plant towards the bottom.
Chisel’s duties:
While buying chisel, you need to pay attention to the soil structure of your land, the power of your tractor and its hydraulic lifting capacity. The foot structure of the chisel is selected according to the soil structure (crow’s feet, dovetail feet and normal tip iron). Chisel selection is made based on the width of your land and the working width according to the capacity of your tractor.
Chizel is included in the cultivator product group as it is a kind of cultivator. Cultivators are classified in two groups as hanging and pulling type according to their attachment to the tractor. Under the name of cultivator, there is a wide range of products in different sizes, suitable for different features and usage areas. Field cultivators, chisels, decompactors, drainage cultivators, weed pluckers, listers and rake cultivators are equipment that provide different solutions and have many varieties.
