Yanmar Power Technology to Split into Industrial Power Products and Large Power Products Companies

Osaka, Japan (October 18, 2024) – Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd. has revealed plans to restructure its subsidiary, Yanmar Power Technology Co., Ltd. into two distinct companies by October 2025. This reorganization will create one company focused on industrial engines and another specializing in large power products.
Yanmar Power Technology, formerly a business unit of Yanmar Co., Ltd. until April 2020, has focused on the development, manufacturing, and sales of engines, particularly industrial power products and large power products. In response to the global push toward decarbonization, the Industrial Power Products Division has been working on electrification, while the Large Power Products Division is advancing research and development of new fuels such as hydrogen and ammonia.
The spin-off aims to enable more agile operations and faster decision-making by aligning each division's activities with its specific decarbonization goals and market needs.
Further details on the spin-off and the new company structure will be announced once finalized.
