YANMAR equipment use a great variety of gears in a variety of shapes and sizes play an important role in the performance of YANMAR equipment.
In 2019, a new production process was developed that implemented automated inspection through by image recognition. The new system enabled Kanzaki to further improve part quality preventing human errors and increase consistency.

Since the introduction of automated inspection based on image recognition, Kanzaki has consistently kept the number of defective products shipped to customers to zero.

Genuine filter with high filtration performance developed in collaboration with the filter manufacturer

In addition to production in-house and at YANMAR group companies, YANMAR is jointly develops parts with highly specialized manufacturers.
The genuine YANMAR filter is one example. YANMAR developed a special filter paper with a selected filter manufacturer and succeeded in removing more dust and maintaining a high filtration efficiency over a prolonged period of use.

Developed to comply with the latest environmental regulations

YANMAR is actively developing technologies to comply with the latest environmental regulations.
One of them is an engine emission control device that complies with the emission regulations (Tier 4) adopted by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
YANMAR uses a common rail system, capable of precise fuel injection, and combined this with after treatment devices, namely an EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) system and DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) to reduce NOX (nitrogen oxide) and PM (Particulate Matter) at the same time.
Genuine parts are designed to match these devices and will maximize their performance.

Also, in the marine industry, regulations to reduce the emission of SOX (sulfur oxide) have become stricter since 2020.
As ships around the world need to use fuel that complies with these regulations, YANMAR redeveloped our fuel system components to accommodate the new fuel.
In order to comply with ever stricter regulations, YANMAR continues to develop environmentally friendly technologies.
