From April 7–13, 2025, the city of Munich hosted Bauma – the world’s largest trade fair for construction machinery, held only once every three years. Powering a Zero-Carbon future through Diversity
Under the slogan Energy Diversity, Your Solution Partner, Yanmar presented its future-focused approach to powertrain technology. As part of its commitment to a zero-carbon future, Yanmar showcased a full range of innovative clean propulsion technologies. All designed to meet the changing and diverse needs of global customers, across land, sea, and city applications.
Highlights on the Stand
One of the main attractions was the e-powertrain mock-up, a complete electric powertrain integrated into a wheel loader, showcasing Yanmar’s tailored electrification solutions with integrated software and telematics. As a full-system integrator, Yanmar supports OEMs from design to after-sales for faster, more cost-efficient development.
Another highlight was the global debut of two hydrogen engine concepts, including the 4TN101 hydrogen engine, built on Yanmar’s existing diesel platform. It proves hydrogen combustion is possible without altering engine architecture and opens a promising path to zero-emission off-road use with minimal design changes.

Yanmar’s presence drew considerable attention and generated valuable conversations with OEMs and industry stakeholders.
