Sponsorship activities - Cerezo Osaka Sakai Ladies

Cerezo Osaka Sakai Ladies was established in 2010 as Cerezo Osaka women's football club under 15 years old with 16 junior high school students. Since then, the team has ultimate training system that trains and strengthens the same players without recruiting from other clubs.

In 2013, the name of Cerezo Osaka Ladies was changed to Cerezo Osaka Sakai Ladies and participated in the Challenge League, which is a subordinate organization of the Nadeshiko League. While struggling against other open age clubs, the players grew each season and was promoted to the Nadeshiko League Division 2 in 2016.
In 2017, they won the Nadeshiko League Cup in Division 2 for the first time. In addition, the team took the second place in the Nadeshiko League Division 2 and won the Promotion / Relegation Series, achieving their first promotion to the Division 1.
2020 was the last season before the launch of the Japan professional women’s league, WE League, the team finished in 4th place in the Nadeshiko League Division 1. In 2021, with the launch of the professional league, the team will continue to play in the top amateur league, Nadeshiko Division 1.

Cerezo Osaka Sakai Ladies has trained many players who are expected to play an active role in the future women’s football, and many members have been picked for the Japan Women's National Team.
In 2021, Saori TAKARADA (Washington Spirit, USA) and Honoka HAYASHI (AIK Football, Sweden), who were the major players of the team until the previous year, transferred to clubs in overseas and are taking on challenges at a higher level.
